A Philosophy of CARE for the Whole Being

“health is a state of balance among the body, mind, senses and soul.”

Balanced Living

"Maintaining health requires the careful, consistent application of certain fundamental principles among them the need for balance, and an awareness of the creative power of our attitudes and emotions in shaping the condition of our physical bodies. But healhty living also means having positive supportive loving relationships with other people. And the key to such relationships is to first have a strong relationship with the Spiritual forces within ourselves." ~The Essential Edgar Cayce-M.Thurston, MD

Wellness is an active state of being that addresses certain underlying principles about healing and integration of the body, mind and Spirit. The "key" Universal principle of good health is Balance-a mutual dependency and interrelatedness of the physical, mental and Spiritual-"a goodly body, an open mind and a loving Spirit." True balance requires a sensitivity to interrelationships. This is best discerned by engaging in a spiritual lifestyle. Since each of us has a purpose in life and the means to acheive that purpose is through our bodies, we can begin to appreciate our vehicle as a gift, which can serve the Divine Plan.

When the body is nutrimented with whole foods, sufficient exercise, sleep and sunshine it feels energetic and in balance. Such a state of wellbeing provides a foundation for ones unique energy potential to be realized through a mission, a task, a destiny, karma, or ones Soul purpose. When the personality vehicle is unaware of its Soul mission, the virtues of our higher Self cannot be made into concrete reality. Any unrealized potential begins to show its opposite or negative side as a personality defect. This negative energy state produces disruption, congestion, friction, distortion, disharmony and loss of energy in the body-mind whenever the personality is not connected to the great Kosmic energy field by its soul. Lack of coordination is experienced as unhappiness, depression and in negative mood states before it developes as disease in the physical body. Anything that darkens consciousness is negative and will sooner or later lead to illness!

Understanding these principles makes suggestions for treatment much more likely to be effective. Since health or illness is an interplay of the body, mind and spirit-a coordination of body systems or lack thereof creates our physical condition. For instance, physical conditions play an imporant role beyond the digestive organs. If the body is exercised and the mind is not, the whole being has difficulty responding properly via assimilation of nutrients in the diet. In this case an approach would be to use the mental to enhance the physical perhaps through visualization while eating. Food also stimulates states of consciousness as in the relationship with flour and sugar.

Addressing the three principle systems and their coordination are the key elements of wellness. These are the circulatory system, the nervous system and the internal organs. The interconnectedness of the systems demonstrates how an imbalance in one area creates a reflex or reaction to something that is out of balance elsewhere in the body. The four phases of self-care of the body-mind-Spirit levels are: Circulation, Assimilation, Relaxation and Elimination/Detoxification. The acronym spells CARE. Therefore, the principle focus of self-care is detoxification, purification (treating attitudes, motivations & emotions) and rejuvenation (the potential for longevity) to bring coordination between the physical, mental/emotional (emotions are a sublevel of the mental) and spiritual dimensions of being.

Our beliefs and attitudes are the starting points for healthy living. How we respond or fail to respond to what is occurring will determine the resolution of any problem. By establishing the right mental orientation in life we set the stage for healthy expression at every level of our experience. This will enable us to choose well for ourselves -to create with intention, exercising our FREE WILL.

Accessing our body wisdom is the key to wellness. Listening to the way it feels and by honoring its messages is the pathway to feeling whole and joyful. When we experience a less-than-comfortable state, as a subtle shifting of moods, an inability to stay physically grounded or centered in our emotional body, feel pain and misery, there is an inability to let go of inner resistances. The attachments to things, experiences of the past, unrequited feelings, and so on produce an internal craving or deep hunger that finds expression through unhealthy patterns causing dis-ease. The angles of dise-ase are a lack of awareness, extremism, agression and invasion, misuse of energy, rebellion and willfullness.

Lindhar's Tree of Disease
is a reminder that in addition to the central focus of infections and toxins as indicated on the branches that emotional and lifetsyle issues often trigger the root of the dis-ease.

Balanced living is earned choice by choice evoked in every corrective step!

Laws of Living
e Principles of Wellness

All of Life is an Expression of the One Life or God. Unity Consciousness.
Life is Purposeful.
Our Inner Life is Reflected in the Outer World-As Within, So Without.
We have Free Will and the Power to Create. Mind is the builder.
There is Meaning in Suffering.
We are Responsible for Self and to One Another. Love & Goodwill to all.

Wellness is a Positive and Comfortable State that Enables You To:

• Live your life the way you choose enjoying the abundance life has to offer.
• Care for yourself, family and others more effectively.
• Contribute your best to the world by living out your Spiritual ideals.
• Better cope with life’s difficulties.
• Increase your efficiency due to increased focus.
• Maintain firm boundaries.
• Emotionally handle present situations even though you dislike them or wish them to change.
• Make fewer mistakes because actions are adjusted more competently.
• Feel more connected to yourself on a Soul level, with Others, Nature & with the Greater Spiritual Forces.

The source of expressed life energy is of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and relationships that include environmental, occupational (purposeful work) and the social spheres of life. These six dimensions of the four quadrants of living emanate from the centrifugal force of Spirit that when in balance are nutriments of the soul.

When relationships are healthy, occupation fulfilling, creativity positively channeled and regular physical activity is a commitment your hunger for living is satisfied. What you eat becomes "secondary" because you feel full with excitement, fun, love, and passion for life. When these areas are out of balance your body wisdom will constantly send you messages to get your attention as to what it needs to fill the vacancy or hunger void of unexpressed potential. Messages come in the form of cravings, body pain, negative mood states, or things that appear as problems.

Physical Wellness

When the etheric structure of the body you live in stays reasonably grounded through a connection with the Earth Body and is physically nourished through food that is right for you, Physical Wellness ensues and you feel:

• More comfortable in your own skin.
• More appreciation for your shape or size even if there is room or improvement.
• A physical awareness and in tune with your gut instinct.
• More control over how to direct your body to accomplish the things you want it to do.
• How your body supports your ability to live-the comfort and function that is appropriate for you in the moment.
• Good about your food choices and how your body feels when you eat wholefoods that nourish you.
• An optimal state of health in your body for the age that it is.
• Confident that your choices, care and discipline is your insurance to sound health.
• No physical pain or less pain in areas of thebody that used to contain holding patterns (miasms).

Through Integrative Nutrition I can help you discover the secondary food that is right for you. The process is based on you as an individual, not a particular theory. I believe in the natural intelligence of the body to aide in healing along with gentle detoxification to assist in loosening emotional imprints (which are toxins ) for processing.

Emotional and Mental Wellness

Emotions are where your thoughts and feelings converge. Both are states of mind that can be altered so that perceptions of the past no longer limit you. Understanding that the attachment to drama-yours or others is enacted to distract attention from seeking inside your self and that emotional reactions are often defense mechanisms that cover something much deeper, is helpful in uncovering emotional issues.

Emotional and mental wellness are states of mind where you feel most comfortable and centered in self. In wellness you(r):

• Mental perspective shifts to more inclusive values.
• Can hold your center regardless of what is going on around you.
• Allow life to happen without being reactionary and out of control.
• Can cope with incidents without compromising your inner peace.
• Are more resilient and can recover more quickly from upsets without carrying your baggage into the future.
• Ego personality is not fractured by others harmful words or actions.
• You feel confident and are unconerned about what others think about you.
• Are only concerned about your reactions.
• Know that you are not responsible for others and their choices-that whatever they choose is ultimately their responsibility and not yours to control.
• Know that you are ultimately responsible for yourself and to yourself.
• Boundaries become more distinct.
• Feel more integrated in thought, word and action.
• Feel an interdependency with life.
• Create a conscious partnership with nature.

Spiritual Wellness

Everything is imbued with spirit, thus we are all spirit manifest in form. Spirituality is the backdrop for life and is therefore, not religious. Religion in turn is a deeply personal orientation to a specific belief system. There is a spiritual aspect within us all and while some may feel uncomfortable expressing their spirituality or find it difficult to reach inside, others cultivate some form of spirituality as a necessary daily practice. Spiritual practices can include prayers, meditation, chanting, drumming, labyrinth walking, contemplative thinking, dancing, singing, yoga, Eastern martial art forms, music and art, and so on. Whatever the chosen practice it is meant to feed your spirit.

In Spiritual Wellness you feel:

• Enriched in some way.
• Focused and able to concentrate longer and more deeply.
• Tolerant of others foibles and your own.
• Less judgmental and loving towards self and others.
• More Compassionate.
• Connected with the web of life.
• A stewarship over planet Earth and preservation of all life forms.
• Concern over ecological destruction.
• A call to action to preserve the good, the beautiful and the true.
• Your authentic self leads over your ego desires.
• The need to forgive rather than punish.
• Aligned in your Truth.
• Your Masculine and feminine forces are equally integrated and balanced in your gender body.
• In tune with the rhythm of the Kosmic Circuit.
• Integrated physically, emotionally and mentally.
• Connected with the undifferentiated stream of Unity consciousness.
• The need to support and uplift those to a better quality of life.
• In sync with Universal Law and Principle.
• In synthesis with the law of opposites.
• Comfortable expressing your creative sexual energy.
• Connected with your Spiritual core and the multi-dimensional aspects of your self.
• The force of your souls urge.
• In your purpose

Spiritual Midwifery is a coaching perspective that inspires, nurtures and celebrates the birth of spiritual awareness through Divine Feminine wisdom. The Divine Feminine is the integral link to manifestation, creativity, self-empowerment and liberation. With cooperative masculine force they meld to ground spirit into earthly life and marry Earth with Spirit. Through deeply therapeutic processes you are guided to understand these powerful spiritual energies that comprise you in the exploration of self.

In this incredible journey of rhythms and cycles of life's triumphs and challenges, as a continuous cycle of birth, death, and rebirth you discover invitations and challenges that call forth your own evolution. This alignment process prepares you to cultivate the jewel within your bosom-the Inner Diamond that lies recessed within your heart waiting to be activated. Only YOU! can activate your heart by giving yourself permission, or to invite another to activate it through Love. The heart is the space of the sacred feminine, the soul of the feminine body and it is from where you act from connected wholeness. The weaving of feminine overlight that connects the mind, body, heart, and spirit is the exciting journey of the authentic Self in creative purpose.

With wise counsel I coach you to live anchored in the confidence and wisdom of your soul and lend guidance through life's detours-the sometimes dark passages on the journey of life. Moving through the dark night of the Soul is about cathartic transformation, rather than self obliteration!

Relational Wellness

Life is about our relationship or connectivity to our core through purposeful work, to others in our social circle or wider community and to our connection with Earth.

Purposeful Work:

Finding purposeful work is deeply connected to emotional and spiritual wellbeing. When you love what you do you naturally generate enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the highest level of energy you can experience, which is felt when you discover your life’s passion, reason of being, or mission on this planet, and when you live and follow your soul's urge according to its souls divine plan. Enthusiasm continually draws you closer to the realization of yourself as the divine creature that you are. This realization entails the realization of your dreams. Discovering your passion is the first step towards excitement and enthusiasm.

Community (Social) Wellness:

Community is about creating unity with or creating community by clearing the disunity patterns at the cause of discord in the dance of life. The abberations of society always reflect individual states of mind. Together these form the social dis-eases that plague us. Individually, we each contribute to the collective malaise when divisive orientations within the psyche are not processed.

Environmental Wellness:

Environmental wellness or eco-psychology concerns living symbiotically with nature with concern how your energy output affects the entire ecosystem of life. Eco-healings are common to assist in healing the Earth body of miasms. Earth Mother needs your help and commitment to right action in preservation of her eco-system.

Peace begins in kitchens and pantries, gardens and backyards, where our food is grown and prepared.
The energies of nature and the infinite universe are absorbed through the foods we eat and are transmuted into our thoughts and actions.
From individual hearts and homes, peace radiates out to friends and neighbors, communities and nations.
Brown rice, miso soup, whole grain bread, fresh vegetables-these and other whole, unprocessed foods are our “weapons” to turn around the entire world.
